Devin Jake Appearing This Saturday August 5th On KOOP Radio’s “Singer And The Song”

This coming Saturday, August 5th, Devin Jake will be making his first appearance on radio host Rush Evans’ long-running “Singer And The Song” series on Austin’s KOOP Radio. The one-hour live radio show airs each Saturday afternoon from 3-4 pm on KOOP FM 91.7. Host Rush Evans features only one musical guest per show and facilitates a mix of interview and conversation with the artist, as well as both live and recorded music segments.

Devin who holds down a weekly residency with his band at The White Horse has released two albums to date. The first, Jesus & Mama, garnered some attention in country-bluegrass circles when it was nominated in 2013 for two Independent Music Awards, including “Best Country Album”. One of the album’s songs, “Anywhere Bound,” took home the “Americana Song of the Year” award.

Devin’s newest album, Days Into Years, was released in late May on Atticus Records and features nine new originals, plus one cover song penned by Brennen Leigh and John Scott Sherrill. Like Jesus & Mama, the record was produced by Stephen Doster at EAR Studio in Austin. Devin’s appearance on “Singer And The Song” will largely focus on the songs from Days Into Years. However, a song or two from Jesus & Mama, or maybe one of Devin’s patented “ol’ lady country” songs will make it into the show.

If you live in Austin, tune your radio to Rush Evans’ “Singer And The Song” on Austin’s KOOP Radio FM 91.7, this coming Saturday, August 5th from 3-4 PM CST.
